Gary Rossington
December 4, 1951 – March 5, 2023
Gary Rossington co-founded Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1964 and remained the band's only continuous member throughout its history. Playing lead and rhythm guitar, he helped create the group's signature three-guitar sound and co-wrote many of its best-known songs, becoming one of Southern rock's defining players.
Rossington appeared on landmark albums including Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd, Second Helping, and Street Survivors. After the 1977 plane crash that claimed several of his bandmates, he formed the Rossington Collins Band before helping reunite Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1987. He continued performing with the band until poor health forced him to step away shortly before his passing.

Bob Mosley
December 4, 1942
Bob Mosley joined Moby Grape in 1966 as its bass guitarist and one of the band's three lead singers. His strong vocals, melodic bass playing, and songwriting helped shape the group's distinctive blend of rock, folk, blues, and country on albums including Moby Grape, Wow, and Moby Grape '69.
Mosley's career was interrupted by military service during the Vietnam era and later by a long struggle with schizophrenia that led to periods of homelessness. Despite those challenges, he reunited with Moby Grape several times for recordings and concerts, released solo albums, and remained closely connected to the band's legacy through later performances and reunion projects.

Dennis Wilson
December 4, 1944 – December 28, 1983
Dennis Wilson was the only actual surfer in the Beach Boys, bringing an authentic California spirit to the group he co-founded with his brothers Brian and Carl Wilson, cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine in 1961. Singing while playing drums, he gradually developed into a respected songwriter whose contributions grew stronger throughout the 1970s.
Wilson appeared on classic albums including Pet Sounds, Sunflower, and Holland while writing or co-writing memorable songs such as "Forever" and "Slip On Through." In 1977, he released the acclaimed solo album Pacific Ocean Blue, which revealed a deeply personal side of his songwriting and remains one of the most highly regarded solo projects by a Beach Boy.

Hillman co-founded the Flying Burrito Brothers with Gram Parsons in 1968, helping pioneer the country rock movement before later joining Stephen Stills, Richie Furay, and J.D.
