 Rick Savage

Rick Savage co-founded the group that became Def Leppard in 1977 with Pete Willis and Tony Kenning while they were still in school. Originally playing guitar, he soon switched to bass guitar and became a key songwriter as the band developed into one of the leading hard rock acts of the 1980s.

Savage played on every Def Leppard studio album, with Pyromania, Hysteria, and Adrenalize among the band's biggest successes. He remained with the group through lineup changes, personal setbacks, and decades of touring, becoming one of only three members to appear on every Def Leppard album. Savage remains active in music.
