March 7, 1946. Procol Harum featured Matthew Fisher as their organist and vocalist from 1967 to 1969, and again from 1991 to 2004. His haunting Hammond organ performance on A Whiter Shade of Pale defined the group's early symphonic sound. After departing the lineup, he shifted into production, overseeing Robin Trower’s breakthrough solo albums.

In 1973, Matthew Fisher launched a solo career, displaying his skills as a pianist and rhythm guitarist across several melodic rock releases. He briefly rejoined his former bandmates for a reunion tour and television appearances during the late seventies. His sophisticated arrangements and soulful vocals remained influential throughout the decade’s evolving progressive landscape.

Peter Wolf


March 7, 1946. The J. Geils Band enlisted Peter Wolf as their charismatic lead vocalist and harmonica player from 1967 to 1983. His high-energy stage presence and rhythmic delivery propelled the group through a decade of blues-infused rock and roll success. Throughout the seventies, he served as a primary songwriter, crafting hits that showcased his deep affinity for soul and rhythm and blues. 

Under his vocal leadership, the ensemble released several gold records and became a premiere live attraction. Peter Wolf consistently channeled the spirit of early rock pioneers, blending fast-talking wit with soulful melodies. By 1980, his distinct voice had helped the band successfully transition into a massive mainstream powerhouse within the American rock scene.

Chris White


March 7, 1943. The Zombies concluded their initial run in 1968, leading Chris White to shift focus toward producing and writing for the rock group Argent. Although he stayed away from the touring stage, he contributed bass guitar to their early recordings and co-penned the hit Hold Your Head Up. 

Throughout the seventies, Chris White remained a vital studio collaborator for Colin Blunstone. His intricate compositions and melodic arrangements defined the era's sophisticated sound. He plays bass guitar, double bass, guitar, and ukulele.
