The J. Geils Band featured bassist Danny Klein as a foundational member from 1967 through 1985. Known by the nickname Dr. Funk, he provided the rhythmic backbone for the high energy blues rock ensemble. Throughout the seventies, he performed on landmark recordings such as Bloodshot and Sanctuary. His steady presence helped the group transition from a popular regional touring act into a major international attraction known for their explosive live performances.

Bill Hunt


May 23, 1947

Electric Light Orchestra recruited Bill Hunt as a founding member to play the French horn, trumpet, and hunting horn from 1970 to 1972. After contributing to their debut recording, he transitioned to the glam rock group Wizzard alongside Roy Wood, performing on various instruments including the piano and harpsichord between 1972 and 1975. His classical training brought a distinctive orchestral texture to the brass and keyboard arrangements of both ensembles.
