Dave Holland
April 5, 1948 – January 16, 2018. Trapeze featured David Holland as their heavy-hitting drummer from 1969 to 1979. He provided the driving percussion for several influential funk-rock albums alongside Glenn Hughes. In 1979, he shifted focus by joining Judas Priest, serving as their drummer until 1989. His powerful rhythmic style helped define the transition from seventies rock into heavy metal.
Dave was inducted into the Rock and Roll HOF in 2022 along with other members of Judas Priest.
NOTE: Despite the legal controversies surrounding his personal life, his professional contributions to rock music remain a permanent part of the genre’s history.
