Adolfo de la Parra
February 8, 1948. Adolfo de la Parra joined Canned Heat in 1967 as their drummer and remains a member today. During the late sixties, he provided the rhythmic backbone for the group at the Monterey Pop Festival and Woodstock. He performed on classic albums such as Boogie with Canned Heat and Future Blues throughout the seventies. His steady percussion guided the band through numerous lineup changes while they toured extensively and recorded with blues legend John Lee Hooker.
