John Weathers
February 7, 1947. John Weathers acted as the drummer for the progressive rock group Gentle Giant from 1972 to 1980. His tenure began with the Octopus sessions, where his hard-driving rhythms and melodic percussion on vibes and xylophone became a signature of the band’s complex sound. Before this, he provided rhythms for Eyes of Blue starting in 1968 and later joined Big Sleep in 1971. He also contributed to The Grease Band and Wild Turkey during the early seventies. Weathers maintained a powerful presence within the British avant-garde scene, navigating intricate time signatures until the ensemble disbanded.

Alan Lancaster
February 7, 1949 – September 26, 2021. Alan Lancaster functioned as the bassist for the hard rock band Status Quo from 1968 to 1985. He provided driving low-end frequencies and shared vocal duties on legendary albums such as Piledriver and Hello! throughout the seventies. Under his direction, the group transitioned from psychedelic pop into a powerhouse of twelve-bar boogie rock. Lancaster also collaborated with The Party Boys starting in 1980. His rhythmic stability and aggressive playing style defined the band's sonic identity during their most commercially successful era across global concert circuits.

Jimmy Greenspoon
February 7, 1948 – March 11, 2015. Jimmy Greenspoon functioned as the organist and keyboardist for Three Dog Night from 1968 to 2015. His melodic textures anchored massive hits like Joy to the World throughout the seventies. During the group’s initial hiatus in the late seventies, he remained active in the Los Angeles session scene, collaborating with various elite contemporary artists.
