Bill Bruford provided the intricate rhythmic foundation for Yes from 1968 to 1972, performing on their first five albums. He played drums and various percussions, helping define the complex structures of the progressive rock movement. In 1972, he transitioned to King Crimson, remaining a core member until 1974. His precise, jazz-influenced technique became a hallmark of the high-energy recordings produced during that tenure.

Following a brief period as a touring member for Genesis in 1976, he focused on his own experimental group, Bruford, which formed in 1977. He also collaborated with the progressive rock supergroup UK from 1977 to 1978. Throughout these diverse professional engagements, he utilized his technical expertise to push the boundaries of rock percussion across numerous landmark studio sessions.

Paul Di'Anno

Paul Andrews joined Iron Maiden in 1978 and sang lead vocals on their early recordings through 1981. This era saw the group rise through the New Wave of British Heavy Metal scene, fueled by his gritty vocal delivery and high energy stage presence. He helped establish the core sound of the ensemble during their formative years of club dates and studio work.

His contributions on the self titled debut and subsequent tours were instrumental in securing the band's initial commercial success. This professional involvement remained central to the group's rising popularity until they transitioned to a different lineup. His early efforts defined a specific chapter in the history of the collective during the late seventies and the turn of the decade.
