 Nancy Wilson

March 16, 1954. In 1974, the hard rock landscape shifted when Nancy Lamoureaux Wilson joined her sister in the band Heart. Serving as the primary rhythm guitarist and acoustic guitarist, she became a cornerstone of the group's signature sound. Her intricate fingerpicking intro on Crazy On You helped define the folk-rock fusion found on their debut album, Dreamboat Annie. Beyond her instrumental prowess, she acted as a backing vocalist and occasionally took the lead on tracks like Treat Me Well.

The mid-seventies saw her role expand as she co-wrote many of the group's definitive hits. As the mandolinist and harmonica player for the ensemble, she provided the melodic textures that balanced their heavy electric riffs. Her tenure with the collective lasted from 1974 to 1995.

Michael Bruce

March 16, 1948. Michael Owen Bruce served as the primary rhythm guitarist and keyboardist for the original Alice Cooper group from 1966 to 1974. His sophisticated songwriting was the backbone of the collective, yielding anthems like No More Mr. Nice Guy and Be My Lover. While anchoring the rhythm section, he frequently played the piano and organ to enhance the band's theatrical shock rock arrangements.

Following the group's dissolution, he released the solo effort In My Own Way and formed the band Billion Dollar Babies in 1977. Acting as the lead vocalist and guitarist for this new ensemble, he produced the album Battle Axe. During this venture, he collaborated with former bandmates to maintain the hard-hitting sonic identity they pioneered earlier in the decade.
