 Jon Lord

June 9, 1941 – July 16, 2012

The distinctive textures of his organ, synthesizer, and piano arrangements became a cornerstone for the heavy rock movement. As a co-founder of Deep Purple, he anchored the band from 1968 to 1976, driving their powerful sound on an embellished Hammond organ that bridged classical structures with heavy blues.

Following the temporary breakup of his primary group, he joined Whitesnake, performing with the outfit from 1978 to 1984. He subsequently participated in the 1984 Deep Purple reunion, maintaining his position as the primary keyboardist until 2002.

Mick Box

June 9, 1947

As the primary lead guitarist and founding member of Uriah Heep, Mick Box anchored the collective heavy rock sound through a prolific run of studio albums and international tours. He established the group in 1969 alongside original vocalist David Byron, rapidly securing a loyal following with a signature musical style defined by dense vocal harmonies and a roaring wall of keys. Mick Box plays the electric guitar and acoustic guitar.

His Wah-Wah pedal technique and blistering lead work drove the sonic identity of major commercial releases like Demons and Wizards and The Magicians Birthday. While the lineup underwent numerous personnel shifts over the decades, he remained the singular constant presence in the group from 1969 to the present day, guiding their ongoing recording career and global touring schedule well into the new millennium.

Trevor Bolder

June 9, 1950 – May 21, 2013

Joining David Bowie as a core rhythm anchor in 1971, he supplied the fluid, highly melodic foundations for the definitive era of glam rock. His work propelled the sonic character of landmark studio releases including Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, and Aladdin Sane. Trevor Bolder plays the bass guitar and trumpet.

A transition to the hard rock outfit Uriah Heep in 1976 expanded his presence, anchoring their studio records and heavy global touring schedule until 1981. After a brief tenure with Wishbone Ash from 1981 to 1983, he returned to the Uriah Heep lineup in 1983, maintaining his role as their steady bass player and contributing to their studio output until 2013.
