Glenn Hughes

Glenn Hughes became the bassist and a lead singer for Finders Keepers in 1968. He left them to form the funk rock group Trapeze in 1969. He played bass and sang lead vocals on their first three albums including Medusa in 1970 and You Are the Music We're Just the Band in 1972. Deep Purple recruited him to take over as their bass guitarist and co-lead vocalist in 1973. He played on the album Burn in 1974 and remained with the group until they split up in 1976. He released his first solo album titled Play Me Out in 1977. He briefly joined Black Sabbath as their lead singer for an album in 1986 and performed as a session player for various artists from 1980 through 2025. He continued his career by releasing solo albums and touring with various rock groups from 1991 to 2026.
