 Phil Mogg

April 15, 1948. As the distinctive vocalist for UFO, Phil Mogg remained the only constant member throughout the group's evolving lineup from 1968 to 1983. He helped define the hard rock sound of the era, leading the band through their influential space rock beginnings and their eventual transition into a guitar heavy force.

His melodic phrasing and storytelling lyrics became a signature of the group's classic albums released during the middle of the decade. Mogg anchored the ensemble through high intensity world tours and the recording of their acclaimed live double album.
