Al Kooper

February 5, 1944. Al Kooper remains a monumental figure within the rock landscape, famously improvising the iconic organ riff on Bob Dylan’s Highway 61 Revisited. During the late sixties, he served as the visionary keyboardist for Blood, Sweat and Tears before shifting his focus toward production and solo ventures. He contributed French horn and piano to the Rolling Stones’ masterpiece Let It Bleed while simultaneously managing high-pressure studio sessions for various industry titans.

Throughout the seventies, he released diverse solo albums and discovered Lynyrd Skynyrd, producing their most celebrated records. Whether performing as a soulful vocalist or a versatile guitarist, his technical mastery shaped the decade. His creative output between 1968 and 1980 reflected a relentless drive for innovation that helped bridge the gap between blues and progressive pop.

Cory Wells

February 5, 1941 – October 20, 2015. Cory Wells flourished as a lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for Three Dog Night from 1968 to 1976, eventually returning for their 1981 to 2015 tenure. His soulful delivery fueled chart-topping anthems like Mama Told Me Not to Come, establishing the group as a dominant force in the early seventies.

After the ensemble initially disbanded, he pursued a solo path, releasing the album Touch in 1978. Wells navigated the evolving rock scene with distinctive vocal prowess, consistently delivering high-energy performances across global concert stages.
